Andrea and Josh’s Epic Engagement Photos

As we share this blog, I feel like I must give a disclaimer so here goes: We rarely shoot engagement sessions, however, Andrea and Josh’s engagement session has to be one of the most EPIC engagement sessions EVER! With that being said, this engagement session was a little different because Alexandra and Andrea have known each other since before grade school where they attended La Petite Academy together in Morristown, Tennessee. Another fun fact – Not only did they grow up together, but Alexandra has been spotted getting a fresh cut from Andrea at Indigo Beauty Salon from time to time. Talk about some lifelong friends! Needless to say, we not only wanted to help our pals out but we wanted to blow them out of the water with some killer engagement portraits. And that we did. Blood Moon Over the Atlanta Skyline – Behind the Image

What an awesome image of the Blood Moon over Atlanta, huh? Well, maybe I should apologize for what you’re about to see. The image of the skyline is our image from a few month ago, the moon is a stock image that I added the red tint to, and the rest is history. Unfortunately, it was rainy and extremely overcast in Atlanta last night, and there wasn’t even the slightest bit of the eclipse visible from the city. Alexandra Way – Going to the Dark Side!

Well… Maybe being in FRONT of the camera isn’t the dark side, but… It could be, right? Especially if you underexpose the image! Haha. Let’s Learn Something Photography! Other than just wanting to share these beautiful shots of Alexandra with the world, I wanted to make sure to incorporate this video — and photos — along with a quick and easy photography 101 lesson for you beginners who are checking the blog. About the Session As most of you may notice, this isn’t our normal “dramatic” style of photography with 20 strobes firing off and someone hanging off a cliff with their head in a lion’s mouth. This is different. This is simplistic and raw. What I’m saying is, it isn’t necessary to have tons of equipment to make great photos. 7 Photos: Part 2 with Kennedy Reddick Jr and a Surprise Guest

If you thought KJ looked sharp in the city at night, we caught him looking just as fly in the day! Many of you saw our first session with Kennedy, and you know he’s all about looking good from head to toe. While in our first session, we were able to capture many different shots of of Kennedy with a backdrop of downtown Atlanta after dark. This time, we decided to switch it up and show that not only does KJ know about the Atlanta night life (still seen in a few shots here, too), but he’s all about business in the daylight hours, as well! Don’t be fooled by the dark blue skies in some of the photos below, as they were taken late evening with a moody sky. One other thing you may notice is that the lovely Sage assisted Kennedy in a few shots this time around. I think it goes without saying that they made a great team!
