Behind The Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 90 Iconic Portraits of the 2023-2024 Washburn Middle and Elementary School Pirates Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, & Dance Teams! The Experience In addition to Washburn High School Athletics, it has been a great experience working with the athletes at Washburn Middle & Elementary School for the 2nd Season. The Washburn community always makes us feel like family which gives us a strong connection with the school and its teams. Washburn School is like our home team, and we’re always proud of their accomplishments. The Vision One thing that we’d like to point out in this set, from an artistic standpoint, is how happy we are with the lighting of these portraits. If there are any fans of the photographer Joey L, we took inspiration from his portrait of Eric Mcnally of the band Foxy Shazam. By using a similar lighting configuration combined with the signature Washburn Red, we snapped away capturing the athletes in action! 77 Iconic Portraits ft the 2023 Washburn Pirates Middle & Elementary School Basketball, Cheer, & Dance Teams

Lenz Photography is proud to present 77 Iconic Portraits ft the 2023 Washburn Pirates Middle & Elementary School Basketball and Dance Teams! This is the fifth year that we have photographed the athletes at WHS, but it is only the first year we have added the middle school & elementary school basketball teams, cheerleading, and dance team into the mix. The middle and elementary school athletes did an outstanding job for their first year of Iconic Sports Portraits. Maybe it helped that several middle and elementary school athletes have older siblings whom we’ve photographed throughout the years. Either way, these Washburn athletes showed up ready to create some amazing photos. Also, we can’t forget about the Dance Team. Many of these ladies have also been photographed for another sport, however, it was fun to see the passion that they shared for dance, as well. We cannot say enough great things about the Washburn community. The experience is always great while photographing at Washburn, and the process keeps getting easier now that the students know what to expect on picture day. 75 Iconic Senior Portraits ft Sadie Johnston of Morristown Hamblen High School East

Lenz Photography of Knoxville is proud to present senior portraits of Morristown Hamblen High School East’s, Sadie Johnston, Class of 2021. In November of 2020, we had the chance to photograph these portraits of Sadie on a beautiful day, beginning at one of our favorite gardens and concluding downtown. Over the years, we have photographed Sadie multiple times – twice for dance, once for prom, once as a model for Allie Fa Vintage, and we even photographed her brother’s senior portraits. Having a tight relationship with Sadie and her mom, Traci, made the session even easier since everyone involved was comfortable with the process. (As if photographing someone as talented as Sadie isn’t easy enough as it is…) Sadie is a skilled dancer, so honestly, the hardest part of photographing Sadie is trying to top the photographs from the last session! Now, we don’t want to toot our own horn, but we pulled out of a lot of new techniques that we all agree made Sadie’s Senior Portrait Session a major success! Congrats on your senior year, Sadie! Lenz Photography, LLC of Knoxville is proud to present Junior Class of 2021 Sadie Johnston. We have photographed a few dance sessions of Sadie over the years, so we knew she would be a perfect candidate to photograph during our limited Spring Special at Baxter Gardens. 47 Iconic Portraits of GCHS senior Class of 2020 Kaci Bartley

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville is proud to present Grainger County High School senior class of 2020, Kaci Bartley. Kaci has played the trumpet for the Grainger Grizzly Marching & Concert Band for 8 years, and she has also danced since she was 9 years of age. Much like Sierra of the previous blog, it goes without saying that Kaci has many musical talents. Coming from a musical background ourselves, it's refreshing to see the dedication that Kaci illustrated. From the way that she held her trumpet to the points of her fingers and toes during her dance techniques, Kaci was determined to use the correct form which is a trait that we're sure she'll carry over throughout many other aspects of her life. 61 Iconic Dance portraits of Sadie Johnston

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville was excited to bring you Sadie Johnston's studio portrait session in 2016, but this on-location session in 2018... Just WOW! Not only is Sadie's set amazing, but today is also her 15th birthday! So, the timing couldn't be better to drop this set of portraits! There are good athletes, there are great athletes, and there are Iconic athletes. Just by examining her attention to detail and technique, we'll gladly testify that Sadie is on her way to being the best of the best. Sadie has been involved in dance since she was 3 years old and dancing competitively for 6 years. During the summer of 2018, Sadie attended the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive. After two weeks of intense training, we were lucky enough to capture some amazing portraits of Sadie in some of the most Iconic locations in Knoxville. Iconic? Ironic? You be the judge. All we know is that Sadie is on her way to becoming a masterful ballet, pointe, acro, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary dancer. Happy birthday, Sadie! Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville is proud to present one of our favorite creative sessions of 2017 featuring Chris "Flash" Shaw! As many of you may have noticed, Chris has already been a part of our portfolio for several years with the amazing handstand he pulled off on top of the State Street Parking Garage back in 2013. Fast-forward 4 years, we decided to switch it up from our normal on-location set up and opted for a low-key studio set up. After all, we wanted Chris and his most recent "gains" to be the main focus of each image. From smoke and fog to rigging up homemade harpoons to explode water balloons suspended from the ceiling, I'd say we collectively pulled out all the stops for Chris' sports, fitness, and dance themed shoot. This set features 21 Iconic Images of Dancer and Fitness Model Chris Flash Shaw!
