We could write about Alicia and Joey all day long. If we were to write a quick summary of their personalities we would definitely describe them as an artsy, laid-back couple with a great sense of humor. Alicia & Joey were such naturals in front of the camera as well. When Alicia & Joey first contacted us and ran their ideas by us, we were very excited to say the least. They explained that they had recently bought their first home a couple months ago and their session was something that they wanted do in order to commemorate this milestone in their life. We couldn’t have been more thrilled knowing that they hired us to shoot such a creative, themed session that would memorialize such a big step in their life. After all, what better way to celebrate than by scheduling a creative portrait session? During their session, we directed and posed several shots, however, we actually caught a lot of natural interactions amongst the two (which we feel better displays their personality, anyhow). We love working with high school seniors. There’s something about that age that makes it fun to photograph. We always strive to give a unique session to our clients, and working with seniors is no exception. With Lucas’ session you can see we had a lot to work with. He is an all around great athlete, and he plays three different sports. We love variety, so when we found out we would be incorporating all of the sports we were happy. If you follow us, you know we enjoy working with athletes. With every session we want to create images that are iconic, and we really strive for that when working with athletes. When we asked Lucas what his favorite sport is he told us it was soccer. We saved the soccer for last, and we knew we had to give him some epic photos. When Chelsea contacted us a couple months ago, she told us that she and Adam had not had any professional photos made in over eight years. Philip actually went to school with Chelsea, and I (Alexandra) have known her for a couple of years now so we knew we could solve all of their problems! (Well… not ALL of their problems, but we could at least take some awesome portraits! haha. Only kidding!) After brainstorming some ideas for her session, we determined an outdoorsy, rural location would best fit them and their personalities. Chelsea’s twin sister, Angelica came along with her boyfriend, too. She and Allen were also fun and easy going. Everyone was pretty open minded, and I must say that it made it easy incorporate a lot of different concepts and scenery in their session. As you can tell, in a couple of the shots they even included their dogs, Roman and Duke. Although the day started off gloomy and even rained for a bit, it thankfully turned out to be a beautiful evening for photos.
