The Monroe Family

We have had the privilege of knowing Keisha and her family for a couple of years now. And in that time, we have photographed everything from Malachi’s sports portraits, to Tahj’s one year photos, and even a few different sets of family photos. This time around was a little different, though, since we were able to convince Keisha’s parents to get in on the fun as well. We can’t express enough how much Keisha and her family mean to us. They are always a pleasure to work with, and if you know the Griffin and Monroe family, then you know they know how to have a good time as well. Nothing is better than sharing the Monroe’s (and Griffin’s) family portraits with them after the session and seeing them get as excited about the shots as we are! With all that being said, we would like to give a big thank you to the Griffin and Monroe family – even Juice, who actually knows how to cook a hamburger without giving you food poisoning. Snow, snow, and more snow!

Holy crap! Global warming is gonna kill us all! Somebody please tag Al Gore in these images of Tommy, Holly, and Moses that we were able to take during our Midwest excursion. In case you have missed our million posts about it, we packed up and headed to Kansas for a little over a month. Tommy was crazy enough to drive all the way to Atlanta, pick us up, and travel down to Louisiana before winding up in Kansas. While in Louisiana, the three of us had a few sessions in the beautiful 70 degree weather. Then, we stopped in every city along the way for Tommy to take portraits of us as we passed through. Since Tommy did such an amazing job on our portraits, we wanted to photograph the Peterson clan as well. Luckily enough, they were able to get a “light dusting” of snow to play in for their family portraits. When I tell you that their photos turned out SICK!!… I really mean we all ended up sick from being outside! haha. Chelsea & Adam

When Chelsea contacted us a couple months ago, she told us that she and Adam had not had any professional photos made in over eight years. Philip actually went to school with Chelsea, and I (Alexandra) have known her for a couple of years now so we knew we could solve all of their problems! (Well… not ALL of their problems, but we could at least take some awesome portraits! haha. Only kidding!) After brainstorming some ideas for her session, we determined an outdoorsy, rural location would best fit them and their personalities. Chelsea’s twin sister, Angelica came along with her boyfriend, too. She and Allen were also fun and easy going. Everyone was pretty open minded, and I must say that it made it easy incorporate a lot of different concepts and scenery in their session. As you can tell, in a couple of the shots they even included their dogs, Roman and Duke. Although the day started off gloomy and even rained for a bit, it thankfully turned out to be a beautiful evening for photos.
