WHS Senior Banners Behind the Scenes WHS Senior Athletes, Class of 2025 About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 63 Iconic Portraits of the 2024-2025 Washburn High School Pirates Basketball and Cheerleading! The Experience Lucky number 7! It’s always a great time photographing the Washburn High School athletes, and after the seventh year in a row, they’ve become professionals in front of the camera. Seven years ago, we were like the New Kids on the Block. Now, we’re more like the Auntie and Uncle that comes in to make photo day a blast! The Vision The Washburn athletes are always down to try something new. Each team session requires a different set of challenges. The challenge we chose to tackle this year was to showcase the athletes, uniforms, gym, and the Washburn Logos from a different perspective. After photographing a team for seven years in a row, you really have to push yourself as an artist to create something that is consistent, yet unique. 34 Iconic Portraits ft Maryville High School Rebels Cheerleading, Class of 2025

Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 34 Iconic Portraits ft. Maryville High School Rebels Cheerleading, Class of 2025! The Experience Earlier his summer, we were contacted to photograph creative portraits of the Senior Athletes who play for the Maryville High School Rebels Football Team. After an amazing session with the Senior Football Players, we were also contacted to work with the Maryville Rebels Senior Cheerleaders. The Vision The Maryville Rebels Senior Cheerleaders have a small squad with only 4 Seniors set to graduate as the Class of 2025. On average, we photograph teams as large as 20-30 athletes. Sometimes we even photograph multiple teams in one day. Needless to say, we were excited to photograph these 4 Maryville Cheerleaders, because time management wouldn’t be as much of an issue with a small group. The Final Product The Maryville Rebels Senior Cheerleaders brought their A game! Similar to the Maryville High School Football Portraits, we photographed these Senior Athletes on the field from evening into the night. 83 Iconic Portraits ft Washburn High School Pirates Basketball & Cheer 2023

Lenz Photography is proud to present 83 Iconic Portraits of the 2023 Washburn Pirates Basketball and Cheer Teams! This is the fifth year that we have photographed the athletes at WHS, but it is only the first year we have added the middle school and elementary teams into the mix (photos of Middle / Elementary Basketball and Dance teams coming soon)! We cannot say enough great things about the Washburn community. The experience is always great while photographing at Washburn, and the process keeps getting easier now that the students know what to expect on picture day. This year we have 11 Senior Athletes who we would like to take the time to celebrate their accomplishments; Braelyn, Kalynne, Paige, Gracie, Ethan, Blake, Ethan, Caden, Dillon, Kamryn, & Jace, Lenz Photography not only would like to thank you for your efforts on picture day, but for the hard work you put in on the court, on the field, and in the classroom. This is the second year in a row that Lenz has worked with Washburn Athletics, and the coaches and staff always make us feel at home! The student athletes are easy to work with especially now that they have an idea of how their sports portraits are going to turn out! This year, we filmed a quick behind the scenes video of the photoshoot just to show how much fun we had creating portraits of these talented, young athletes. The following excerpt is originally from the previous Grainger Grizzlies blog, but we wanted to include it for this blog because Washburn is part of Grainger County and we're all family! "Now, some of you may be coming here just to see the awesome photos of the boys & girls basketball teams [and cheerleaders]. But for those of you that take the time to read this post, I'd like to personally give a shout out to the coaches, staff, players, & parents of Grainger County [Washburn included]. We have photographed several Grainger County Senior Portraits over the years, but this - along with Washburn's Girls & Boys Basketball team & Cheerleaders - has been the largest sports groups we have photographed back to back. Not only was this shoot personal to me because I am an alumnus of Grainger County High School graduating from Rutledge High School in 2008, but it means the world to me that the people of Grainger County were as happy and excited about the photos as we were! I'm not just saying this because I'm partial to Grainger County, but the players, coaches, & parents were some of the most polite and respectful groups of people whom we have worked with in over 7 years of business. Since we started Lenz Photography, LLC in 2011, we have been a small business with only 2 employees - Alexandra and myself. We have been through the lowest of lows where we thought we may have to call it quits, to the highest of highs where we traveled 10s of thousands of miles in a year photographing professional athletes such as Drew Brees and Jason Witten. One thing is for sure, there's no way we could've gotten this far without the support like we've received from the people of Grainger County. Thank you for all the support, and hopefully we photograph many more Grainger County sports teams in the future! Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville brings you our first Class of 2019 Senior, Mikala Livesay, of Morristown Hamblen High School West! Over the years, we have worked with Mikala and her brother C.J. creating many Iconic portraits along the way. For these portraits, Mikala was riding solo, but we don't think she minded being the star of the show. Thankfully, Julie came along to assist during the session which really helped nail the small details. After all, the more Livesays the better! As with anyone we've previously photographed, we strive to top the last portrait session. And what better way of going above-and-beyond than to photograph the session at a secret garden we discovered? We began by photographing casual shots of Mikala in various locations around the gardens and concluded with the trademark "Iconic Sports Portraits" in her Morristown West Cheerleading uniform. The Iconic Morristown East High School Hurricane Cheerleaders

When Katy Hancock, cheer coach of the Morristown East High School Hurricanes, started her search for a photographer she had a specific vision. Katy didn't want your run of the mill "smile and look at the camera" photos. She wanted photos of her squad that focused on the juxtaposition of strength and beauty. So many times do women's sports get overshadowed by their male counterparts, but make no mistake; These girls are ATHLETES! If you don't believe so, then you try letting 4 of your friends toss you 20 feet in the air and let us know how it goes! It's not always butterflies and rainbows, and the Morristown East Cheerleading squad brought their A game in order to prove that girls can be tough AND beautiful in this set of 58 Iconic Photos brought to by Lenz Photography!
