The Monroe Family

We have had the privilege of knowing Keisha and her family for a couple of years now. And in that time, we have photographed everything from Malachi’s sports portraits, to Tahj’s one year photos, and even a few different sets of family photos. This time around was a little different, though, since we were able to convince Keisha’s parents to get in on the fun as well. We can’t express enough how much Keisha and her family mean to us. They are always a pleasure to work with, and if you know the Griffin and Monroe family, then you know they know how to have a good time as well. Nothing is better than sharing the Monroe’s (and Griffin’s) family portraits with them after the session and seeing them get as excited about the shots as we are! With all that being said, we would like to give a big thank you to the Griffin and Monroe family – even Juice, who actually knows how to cook a hamburger without giving you food poisoning. Andrea and Josh’s Epic Engagement Photos

As we share this blog, I feel like I must give a disclaimer so here goes: We rarely shoot engagement sessions, however, Andrea and Josh’s engagement session has to be one of the most EPIC engagement sessions EVER! With that being said, this engagement session was a little different because Alexandra and Andrea have known each other since before grade school where they attended La Petite Academy together in Morristown, Tennessee. Another fun fact – Not only did they grow up together, but Alexandra has been spotted getting a fresh cut from Andrea at Indigo Beauty Salon from time to time. Talk about some lifelong friends! Needless to say, we not only wanted to help our pals out but we wanted to blow them out of the water with some killer engagement portraits. And that we did. You’ve heard of the Pound for Pound champion. Well, meet the Round for Round Champion! Ever since our relocation to Atlanta, we’ve been working hard to stay involved in our second love at Lenz Photography: the mixed martial arts community. And what a community it is! Lately, we’ve been honored to bring you highlights from fight after fight, but now we’re mixing it up a bit. Meet Danielle, the head ring girl for the NFC. In her spare time, Danielle loves to laugh, enjoys long walks on the beach, Oh yeah… AND KICKING SOME ASS! Any of you that have met Danielle know that working with her was nothing short of a great time. So, we’re about to stop blabbing so you can check out the rest of the photos once we give this shout out: Special thanks to American Top Team of Gwinnett for allowing us to take these awesome portraits in their facility. Blood Moon Over the Atlanta Skyline – Behind the Image

What an awesome image of the Blood Moon over Atlanta, huh? Well, maybe I should apologize for what you’re about to see. The image of the skyline is our image from a few month ago, the moon is a stock image that I added the red tint to, and the rest is history. Unfortunately, it was rainy and extremely overcast in Atlanta last night, and there wasn’t even the slightest bit of the eclipse visible from the city. Snow, snow, and more snow!

Holy crap! Global warming is gonna kill us all! Somebody please tag Al Gore in these images of Tommy, Holly, and Moses that we were able to take during our Midwest excursion. In case you have missed our million posts about it, we packed up and headed to Kansas for a little over a month. Tommy was crazy enough to drive all the way to Atlanta, pick us up, and travel down to Louisiana before winding up in Kansas. While in Louisiana, the three of us had a few sessions in the beautiful 70 degree weather. Then, we stopped in every city along the way for Tommy to take portraits of us as we passed through. Since Tommy did such an amazing job on our portraits, we wanted to photograph the Peterson clan as well. Luckily enough, they were able to get a “light dusting” of snow to play in for their family portraits. When I tell you that their photos turned out SICK!!… I really mean we all ended up sick from being outside! haha. If you’re like our man, KJ, then it’s probably full of 3 piece suits! Many of you coming here probably saw our first blog post of Kennedy — Photos: How to Dress to Impress. Urban Fashion in Atlanta, GA. Since the first blog was posted, we were able to sit down with Kennedy and go over the images from his set in order for him to pick out his absolute favorites.
