Lenz Photography is proud to present photos of the 2023 Washburn High School Pirates Baseball & Softball Teams! This year marks the fifth season we have had the pleasure of photographing the Washburn Pirates Baseball and Softball teams. We have always found these athletes to be a joy to work with, as they are always willing to cooperate with our ideas and bring their own unique spirit to our photo shoots. This season, we were thrilled to be able to photograph the teams on their brand-new fields. The weather was perfect, and the field made a stunning setting. As we photographed, we saw many familiar faces from previous years. It’s inspiring to see how the athletes grow and develope their skills over time, both as individuals and as part of their teams. We especially wish the Class of 2023 graduating seniors the best of luck in their future pursuits, both on and off the field. 83 Iconic Portraits ft Washburn High School Pirates Basketball & Cheer 2023

Lenz Photography is proud to present 83 Iconic Portraits of the 2023 Washburn Pirates Basketball and Cheer Teams! This is the fifth year that we have photographed the athletes at WHS, but it is only the first year we have added the middle school and elementary teams into the mix (photos of Middle / Elementary Basketball and Dance teams coming soon)! We cannot say enough great things about the Washburn community. The experience is always great while photographing at Washburn, and the process keeps getting easier now that the students know what to expect on picture day. This year we have 11 Senior Athletes who we would like to take the time to celebrate their accomplishments; Braelyn, Kalynne, Paige, Gracie, Ethan, Blake, Ethan, Caden, Dillon, Kamryn, & Jace, Lenz Photography not only would like to thank you for your efforts on picture day, but for the hard work you put in on the court, on the field, and in the classroom. This session was a first, because our school / team photo sessions are usually indoors. However, we got to photograph the cross country athletes outdoors on a bright, beautiful day with Clinch Mountain as the backdrop. The scenery near Washburn High School is some of the most beautiful around East Tennessee! 32 Iconic Portraits ft 2022 Washburn Pirates Volleyball Team

Lenz Photography is proud to present Iconic Portraits of the 2022 Washburn Pirates Volleyball Team! This is a special year for the Washburn Pirates Volleyball Team, because this is the first year Washburn has ever had a volleyball team. Obviously, it can take years to grow a program from scratch, but the Lady Pirates hit the court like they’ve been playing together for years. We’re happy seeing these young athletes excel in a new sport while having fun in the process. 49 Iconic Photos ft the Washburn Pirates Baseball and Softball Teams

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville presents the Washburn Pirates Baseball and Softball teams of Washburn High School! As mentioned in the previous post featuring the Grainger Grizzlies, this year's weather has been crazy! Either it has been too cold or too wet to photograph on the fields for photos during the month of March. So, whereas the Grainger Baseball & Softball teams had outdoor shots, we opted to photograph the Washburn Baseball & Softball portraits inside the gym. Needless to say, Plan B turned out to be Plan A+. We couldn't be happier with how they turned out! As a matter of fact, one of the players said that they "felt like they were in a Gatorade commercial" as they stepped on set in front of all the lights. We're glad the players had fun during the shoot, and even more glad the photos turned out amazing! It was an honor working with some of Grainger County's finest athletes! 62 Iconic Photos ft the Washburn Boys & Girls Basketball Teams & Cheerleaders

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville presents the Boys & Girls Washburn Pirates Basketball Teams & Cheerleaders of Washburn High School! The following excerpt is originally from the previous Grainger Grizzlies blog, but we wanted to include it for this blog because Washburn is part of Grainger County and we're all family! "Now, some of you may be coming here just to see the awesome photos of the boys & girls basketball teams [and cheerleaders]. But for those of you that take the time to read this post, I'd like to personally give a shout out to the coaches, staff, players, & parents of Grainger County [Washburn included]. We have photographed several Grainger County Senior Portraits over the years, but this - along with Washburn's Girls & Boys Basketball team & Cheerleaders - has been the largest sports groups we have photographed back to back. Not only was this shoot personal to me because I am an alumnus of Grainger County High School graduating from Rutledge High School in 2008, but it means the world to me that the people of Grainger County were as happy and excited about the photos as we were! I'm not just saying this because I'm partial to Grainger County, but the players, coaches, & parents were some of the most polite and respectful groups of people whom we have worked with in over 7 years of business. Since we started Lenz Photography, LLC in 2011, we have been a small business with only 2 employees - Alexandra and myself. We have been through the lowest of lows where we thought we may have to call it quits, to the highest of highs where we traveled 10s of thousands of miles in a year photographing professional athletes such as Drew Brees and Jason Witten. One thing is for sure, there's no way we could've gotten this far without the support like we've received from the people of Grainger County. Thank you for all the support, and hopefully we photograph many more Grainger County sports teams in the future! Last but not least, we can't wait to see the team shots and individual senior banners hanging in the gym!"
