Lenz Photography is proud to present photos of the 2023 Grainger Grizzlies Softball Team. It has certainly been a weird past couple of years for sports. With team sports back in full swing for this 2022-2023 school year, scheduling, photographing, and proofing team sports has been an absolute whirlwind. With that being said, we’re always happy to fit Grainger County High School into our schedule. The Lenz’s (us) greatly appreciate the support our small business has received from the community. This team session is a set of photographs that are overdue to hit the blog, however, it is not due to the lack of excitement on our part. We have been very eager to share these photographs the last few weeks. 77 Iconic Portraits ft the 2023 Washburn Pirates Middle & Elementary School Basketball, Cheer, & Dance Teams

Lenz Photography is proud to present 77 Iconic Portraits ft the 2023 Washburn Pirates Middle & Elementary School Basketball and Dance Teams! This is the fifth year that we have photographed the athletes at WHS, but it is only the first year we have added the middle school & elementary school basketball teams, cheerleading, and dance team into the mix. The middle and elementary school athletes did an outstanding job for their first year of Iconic Sports Portraits. Maybe it helped that several middle and elementary school athletes have older siblings whom we’ve photographed throughout the years. Either way, these Washburn athletes showed up ready to create some amazing photos. Also, we can’t forget about the Dance Team. Many of these ladies have also been photographed for another sport, however, it was fun to see the passion that they shared for dance, as well. 83 Iconic Portraits ft Washburn High School Pirates Basketball & Cheer 2023

Lenz Photography is proud to present 83 Iconic Portraits of the 2023 Washburn Pirates Basketball and Cheer Teams! This is the fifth year that we have photographed the athletes at WHS, but it is only the first year we have added the middle school and elementary teams into the mix (photos of Middle / Elementary Basketball and Dance teams coming soon)! We cannot say enough great things about the Washburn community. The experience is always great while photographing at Washburn, and the process keeps getting easier now that the students know what to expect on picture day. This session was a first, because our school / team photo sessions are usually indoors. However, we got to photograph the cross country athletes outdoors on a bright, beautiful day with Clinch Mountain as the backdrop. The scenery near Washburn High School is some of the most beautiful around East Tennessee! 38 Iconic Portraits of the Heritage High School Choir

Lenz Photography of Knoxville is proud to present the Heritage High School Choir under the direction of Mr. Tyler Owens. The Lenz' have know Mr. Owens since our days of studying music together at Carson Newman. It's not too often we get the privilege of photographing musicians, but we always love the opportunity to work with fellow artists! To date, this shoot was the first time we've photographed a choir, and we're very happy with the way the shoot came together. Not only did the portraits turn out amazing, but we had tons of fun getting to know the students and their parents. We're excited to share some of our favorite images from the shoot and can't wait to see how the banners turn out! A big thanks goes to Mr. and Mrs. Owens for helping put together this shoot with your group of talented, young musicians. We hope to work with the Heritage Choir again in the future!

47 Iconic Portraits of GCHS Senior Sierra Brown

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville is proud to present Grainger County High School senior class of 2020, Sierra Brown. Sierra has played the flute for the Grainger Grizzly Marching & Concert Band for 8 years, and she has also clogged for 7 years. It goes without saying that Sierra has many musical talents. However, Sierra also has plenty of other talents such as being great in front of the camera! The Lenz' really enjoyed our time getting to know Sierra and her parents, Kim and Arie, during her senior portrait session. We are excited to keep up with Sierra's many accomplishments and to see what the future holds!

49 Iconic Photos ft the Washburn Pirates Baseball and Softball Teams

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville presents the Washburn Pirates Baseball and Softball teams of Washburn High School! As mentioned in the previous post featuring the Grainger Grizzlies, this year's weather has been crazy! Either it has been too cold or too wet to photograph on the fields for photos during the month of March. So, whereas the Grainger Baseball & Softball teams had outdoor shots, we opted to photograph the Washburn Baseball & Softball portraits inside the gym. Needless to say, Plan B turned out to be Plan A+. We couldn't be happier with how they turned out! As a matter of fact, one of the players said that they "felt like they were in a Gatorade commercial" as they stepped on set in front of all the lights. We're glad the players had fun during the shoot, and even more glad the photos turned out amazing! It was an honor working with some of Grainger County's finest athletes! 68 Iconic Photos ft the Grainger Grizzlies Baseball & Softball Teams

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville presents the Grainger Grizzlies Baseball & Softball Teams of Grainger County High School! One thing that we can all agree on is that this year's weather has been crazy! We were lucky enough to coordinate with the coaches of Grainger to find a day that wasn't either too cold or too wet to shoot outside. We were successful in our approach to find a warm day, however the gale force winds that crept up during the shoot was a prefect example of Murphy's Law. Nothing a little extra editing couldn't fix! Thank you, parents of Grainger athletes, for your patience in our efforts to ensure all the prints and products are produced at the highest quality. Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville presents the Boys & Girls Washburn Pirates Basketball Teams & Cheerleaders of Washburn High School! The following excerpt is originally from the previous Grainger Grizzlies blog, but we wanted to include it for this blog because Washburn is part of Grainger County and we're all family! "Now, some of you may be coming here just to see the awesome photos of the boys & girls basketball teams [and cheerleaders]. But for those of you that take the time to read this post, I'd like to personally give a shout out to the coaches, staff, players, & parents of Grainger County [Washburn included]. We have photographed several Grainger County Senior Portraits over the years, but this - along with Washburn's Girls & Boys Basketball team & Cheerleaders - has been the largest sports groups we have photographed back to back. Not only was this shoot personal to me because I am an alumnus of Grainger County High School graduating from Rutledge High School in 2008, but it means the world to me that the people of Grainger County were as happy and excited about the photos as we were! I'm not just saying this because I'm partial to Grainger County, but the players, coaches, & parents were some of the most polite and respectful groups of people whom we have worked with in over 7 years of business. Since we started Lenz Photography, LLC in 2011, we have been a small business with only 2 employees - Alexandra and myself. We have been through the lowest of lows where we thought we may have to call it quits, to the highest of highs where we traveled 10s of thousands of miles in a year photographing professional athletes such as Drew Brees and Jason Witten. One thing is for sure, there's no way we could've gotten this far without the support like we've received from the people of Grainger County. Thank you for all the support, and hopefully we photograph many more Grainger County sports teams in the future! Last but not least, we can't wait to see the team shots and individual senior banners hanging in the gym!"
