Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 57 Iconic Portraits ft. the Maryville High School Rebels Football, Class of 2025! The Experience This summer, we were contacted to photograph creative portraits of the Senior Athletes who play for the Maryville High School Rebels Football team. The portraits from this session took a ton of work to create, but we enjoyed solving the challenges that it took to showcase these talented athletes at their home stadium under the best lighting possible! The Vision Growing up in East Tennessee, you can’t escape the lore of “Maryville Football”. After all, the Rebels are 17x State Champions and 37x Region Champions. Needless to say, they have an impressive football program. Not even trying to glaze! As people who take a great amount of pride in our work, it was important for us to give these athletes credit where credit was due in their pre-session speech. And although we hyped them up to take their portraits, the team was notably a group of humble, young men. 83 Iconic Portraits ft Washburn High School Pirates Basketball & Cheer 2023

Lenz Photography is proud to present 83 Iconic Portraits of the 2023 Washburn Pirates Basketball and Cheer Teams! This is the fifth year that we have photographed the athletes at WHS, but it is only the first year we have added the middle school and elementary teams into the mix (photos of Middle / Elementary Basketball and Dance teams coming soon)! We cannot say enough great things about the Washburn community. The experience is always great while photographing at Washburn, and the process keeps getting easier now that the students know what to expect on picture day. This year we have 11 Senior Athletes who we would like to take the time to celebrate their accomplishments; Braelyn, Kalynne, Paige, Gracie, Ethan, Blake, Ethan, Caden, Dillon, Kamryn, & Jace, Lenz Photography not only would like to thank you for your efforts on picture day, but for the hard work you put in on the court, on the field, and in the classroom. Lenz Photography is proud to present Iconic Portraits of the 2022 Washburn Pirates Cross Country Team! As you may know, we like to detail our photography firsts. This session was a first, because our school / team photo sessions are usually indoors. However, we got to photograph the cross country athletes outdoors on a bright, beautiful day with Clinch Mountain as the backdrop. The scenery near Washburn High School is some of the most beautiful around East Tennessee! A huge shout out goes to all the parents, players, and coaches for making this shoot of the first Washburn Pirates Cross Country Team a success! 43 Iconic Portraits of the Morristown West Trojans Baseball Team

Lenz Photography LLC of Knoxville presents the Trojans Baseball Team of Morristown West High School! This is the first year that Lenz has worked with the Trojans Baseball Team. Morristown West's indoor facility, The Den, made for an amazing location to film their team hype video and served well as a backdrop for their individual portraits! The student athletes didn't let us down with the creativity that they brought to the set, especially their idea to have a colonial musket dual with baseball bats! We hope to work with many more Morristown West athletes in the future, and wish all teams success on and off the field. Thank you to all the parents and coaches for all the help during and after the session.

The following excerpt is originally from the previous Grainger Grizzlies blog, but we wanted to include it for this blog because Washburn is part of Grainger County and we're all family! "Now, some of you may be coming here just to see the awesome photos of the boys & girls basketball teams [and cheerleaders]. But for those of you that take the time to read this post, I'd like to personally give a shout out to the coaches, staff, players, & parents of Grainger County [Washburn included]. We have photographed several Grainger County Senior Portraits over the years, but this - along with Washburn's Girls & Boys Basketball team & Cheerleaders - has been the largest sports groups we have photographed back to back. Not only was this shoot personal to me because I am an alumnus of Grainger County High School graduating from Rutledge High School in 2008, but it means the world to me that the people of Grainger County were as happy and excited about the photos as we were! I'm not just saying this because I'm partial to Grainger County, but the players, coaches, & parents were some of the most polite and respectful groups of people whom we have worked with in over 7 years of business. Since we started Lenz Photography, LLC in 2011, we have been a small business with only 2 employees - Alexandra and myself. We have been through the lowest of lows where we thought we may have to call it quits, to the highest of highs where we traveled 10s of thousands of miles in a year photographing professional athletes such as Drew Brees and Jason Witten. One thing is for sure, there's no way we could've gotten this far without the support like we've received from the people of Grainger County. Thank you for all the support, and hopefully we photograph many more Grainger County sports teams in the future! Last but not least, we can't wait to see the team shots and individual senior banners hanging in the gym!" Kaelan is a 6'2", 189lbs upcoming Senior for the Hurricanes 2017 season, and is looking to blaze the same trail as former Morristown East QB, Randy Sanders. With some help from current UT Volunteer quarterback, Joshua Dobbs, and Head Coach, Butch Jones, at the Arsenal QB camp, we'd say the Kaelan is set to have a bright future ahead of him!
