5 Photos of a 7 Year Old Girl Basketball Player with Bigger Muscles than You

Would you look at those biceps?? We’ve had the opportunity of working with Tylee several times from basketball to cheerleading. Needless to say, her athleticism never ceases to amaze us! Not only is she one of the toughest 7 year old athletes we know, but she’s also one of the cutest! Tylee always takes direction very well and even has some of her own ideas to throw into the mix. We had a blast taking these photos (as always) so enjoy these first 5 images as an exclusive release from Tylee’s session. (More to come soon!) P.s. Tylee wants us to let you guys know that she plays basketball for the Dandridge Spiders. But where most spiders have 8 arms, she has 2 arms that are as strong as 8!!! Tell us you favorite below!

Photos: How to Dress to Impress. Urban Fashion in Atlanta, GA.

Take some style points from our man, KJ. UPDATE: Check out the Part 2 of Kennedy’s session – What is in Your Closet? Before our trip across the Midwest, we had the opportunity of working with one of Atlanta’s best dressed men. Not only is Kennedy a sharp dresser, but he is also a great mentor for the children at RCA. RCA, or Ron Clark Academy, is a private middle school located in Atlanta and is filled with like-minded professionals who are very passionate about what they do. After talking with Kennedy for a bit, we could tell that his passion as a teacher, educator, and a role model went above and beyond. So, not only can you check out Kennedy’s awesome wardrobe for styling tips, but he’s a great inspiration to follow your dreams, also. P.S. Epic View of Atlanta Skyline at Night

What an epic view of the Atlanta skyline! This post is a bit different than our normal posts, however this shot of the Atlanta skyline was just too cool not to share! This location, on Jackson Street near Freedom Parkway, is very easily accessible to grab a quick shot of the city. Also, this view happens to be one of the most famous locations for AMC’s “The Walking Dead“. Now, the production for The Walking Dead may have use a tad bit of post production in their image, but the angle of the skyline and the apartments on the left are still identifiable, nonetheless. Travel – Self Portrait Under the Gateway Arch, St. Louis

Q.) What happens when a group of photographers band together and travel all over the United States for a month? A.) You get some pretty sweet self-portraits in some pretty Iconic places! Big shout out to TH Peterson Photography for helping us with this shot in St. Louis. Behind the Photo As we traveled through St. Louis, we knew we had to get a quick shot of the Gateway Arch, but “quick” is never the case when you’re on the road. Needless to say, there is currently a lot of construction going on in downtown St. Louis and that definitely didn’t help us stay on schedule. Tommy, Alexandra, and I probably drove around St. Louis — not to mention Illinois… Yeah… we ended up taking a few left turns at Albuquerque — However, we were finally able to find a spot to park near the Arch. That wasn’t the end of our struggle, though. Let’s just say St. Louis was FREAKIN COLD (for lack of a better word). Strobist Snow Portraits in a Scranton, Kansas blizzard.

The Details Since we’ve been in Kansas, we’ve haven’t had a lot of free time to share any of our progress via our blog or social media outlets, but the requests to see some photos keep rolling in, nonetheless! So, without further adieu, here are a few strobist snow portraits we took in Scranton — a small town near Topeka, Kansas with a few Alienbee B800s, Vagabond minis, a Paul C Buff cyber commander, Canon 5D Mkiii, 70-200 f2.8 L, 24x36in softbox, and a standard 7in cone. (Not to mention a few plastic, grocery store bags draped over our lights to shield them from the snow!) Enjoy! The Full Story So while in Kansas working with T.H. Peterson Photography, we got about 10-12 inches of snow overnight with very little notice. Of course being a group of photographers, we all wanted to do a portrait of someone in the snow! Who Is Ripley?

I’m glad you asked! Last month, not only did we have the opportunity to photograph the genius behind the band Ripley, we were privileged enough to spend some time chatting over authentic Mexican food and rock out with an impromptu jam session! Unfortunately, we can’t share any of the delicious Mexican food with you, but we can show you some of our favorite photos from the set! Production Day 1 The photo above has to be one of our favorites from the entire production. The sun was basically gone by this point, but there was still that faint 30 second glow left in the sky right before complete darkness set in. We were truly in a rush to grab this shot before losing all the color in the sky. Above, is Joey’s Tom Morello look! (Taken right before we were bum-rushed by the “security guard” of the grounds) haha. Production Day 2 Day two went a little smoother as we weren’t pressed for time as much, and we didn’t run into any “authority figures”. Peni – A Tribute to Samoa

Capturing Culture On Location Take a look at our session with Peni, a Samoan native, whom we were privileged enough to meet, learn about his culture, and tell his story through photography. The Culture: In the photo above, you see Peni holding the “mea tau”. The mea tau are machete-like weapons used for various reasons, notably for carrying decapitated heads by the hooked end of the blade. You may also notice the traditional Samoan skirt which goes by the name of “lava-lava”. The Culture: In this photo, you see that we were lucky enough to witness and photograph the traditional Samoan Fire Knife Dance in person! Here you also see another lava-lava, accompanied by dried banana leaves tied around the neck and shins. The banana leaves are used in many parts of the Samoan culture from clothing to cooking. Alicia & Joey Christian

We could write about Alicia and Joey all day long. If we were to write a quick summary of their personalities we would definitely describe them as an artsy, laid-back couple with a great sense of humor. Alicia & Joey were such naturals in front of the camera as well. When Alicia & Joey first contacted us and ran their ideas by us, we were very excited to say the least. They explained that they had recently bought their first home a couple months ago and their session was something that they wanted do in order to commemorate this milestone in their life. We couldn’t have been more thrilled knowing that they hired us to shoot such a creative, themed session that would memorialize such a big step in their life. After all, what better way to celebrate than by scheduling a creative portrait session? During their session, we directed and posed several shots, however, we actually caught a lot of natural interactions amongst the two (which we feel better displays their personality, anyhow).
