Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 39 Iconic Senior Portraits of Landon, Sevier County High School Percussionist! The Experience Continuing onwards with our series of musicians, Landon is the second high school senior we’ve had the chance of photographing in the studio. Landon and his parents were good company and we enjoyed hosting them. Not only did we have a great time photographing Landon, but we also enjoyed watching drum corps competitions and showing off our Pokemon collections. I dare you to look cute, little Pikachu in the eyes and tell him that doesn’t sound like the perfect day! The Vision Landon is a Senior at Sevier County High School where he plays snare drum for that Marching Smoky Bear Band. Sticking to the theme with this series of musicians, we wanted to create a cinematic lighting set up that tells a story with shape, quality, and color. During this studio session, we accentuated the style of Landon’s uniform by shaping and controlling our light sources and blending the signature Sevier County Smoky Bears Purple. The Experience If you’re a fan of our work, then you probably know that we (The Lenzes) met as music majors in college. During our high school and college years, we were both obsessed with music and band. Typically, we photograph tons of sports and athletes throughout the year, however, we wanted to reach out to a couple local musicians and test our creative talents on them for a change. Recently, we took to social media to make a call for musicians, and Laura was the first to answer the call. The Vision Laura is a Senior at Maryville High School where she is the Drum Major for the Marching Rebels Band. Just like we do with the athletes we photograph, we wanted to create a cinematic lighting set up that tells a story with shape, quality, and color. About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 47 Iconic Portraits of Bryson & Laikin’s Surprise Engagement! We recently had the joy of photographing our friends Bryson and Laikin for a surprise engagement session at the breathtaking Pretty Place Chapel in South Carolina. We first met Bryson back when he was working the night shift at Planet Fitness, and it was so special to capture this milestone in his life. The chapel, perched high in the mountains, offered a stunning backdrop, and while there was quite a crowd gathered that day, we were able to work creatively to make it feel like they had the whole venue to themselves. The result? A set of portraits as intimate and unforgettable as the moment itself. Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 75 Iconic Wedding Portraits of Emma & Stephen Gyebison. Emma has been a great friend of ours since we met while training jiu jitsu back in 2017. Since then, we’ve hung out and watched many UFC fights together. They say you can’t trust someone as a friend unless you absolutely lose your minds and cuss out the tv together over the outcome of sporting event. I think we’ve checked that one off the list a few times. Good times! A little about Emma & Stephen as a couple; Emma met Stephen while she was working as a server at Hooters. She told him she liked his shirt. He says he didn’t believe her. The rest was history. Emma & Stephen started dating in 2019 & have been together for 6 years. They eloped on July 11th, 2025. Emma loves martial arts, and is very passionate about helping animals. Stephen is also a fan of martial arts and sports. About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 59 Iconic Portraits of Kobe & Olivia’s Surprise Engagement! As photographers, this is one of those sessions that is a full circle moment. It feels just like yesterday we were photographing Senior Portraits of Kobe, and now he’s a full grown adult who’s graduated from college, engaged, and getting married! We have always enjoyed photographing Kobe. His family is very tight knit, and they are some of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet. We are honored that they contacted us to take part in another one of life’s major milestones. When preparing this blog, we asked Kobe to give us a short description of how he met Olivia and this was his response; We’ve know each other for 2 years in September and October will be our 2 year dating anniversary. I asked Olivia to be my girlfriend at the local Mexican restaurant in Maryville on Halloween night in 2023. We got engaged on June 21st of 2025. Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 66 Iconic Senior Portraits of Mattox Smith, Maryville Christian School, Class of 2026! Meet Mattox Smith, a multi-talented senior athlete whose dedication on and off the field makes him a standout in every way. A four-year starting player on the Maryville Christian School varsity baseball team, Mattox has not only competed at the high school level but also played competitive travel baseball during the summers, showcasing his skills at regional and state tournaments. He was part of the historic 2023 MCS team that brought home the school’s first-ever NACA (National Association of Christian Athletes) national championship title. A versatile athlete, Mattox plays both catcher and outfield and was recently honored with MCS’ 2024–2025 Strength and Conditioning Student of the Year award. Mattox also ran for the MCS cross-country team, where he earned the Most Valuable Runner award, and was named MCS’ male nominee for the 2024 Goteez Sports Page Blount County Awards. Athletics isn’t the only place where Mattox shines. Mattox maintains strong academics, juggles two part-time jobs, and still finds time to serve others, volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank and helping elderly neighbors with yard maintenance. Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 56 Iconic Senior Portraits ft Carson Newman University Graduate, Madison Harvey. The Experience As always, we had a blast photographing Madison! We began photographing her portraits about an hour before the golden hour, and we continued until it was dark. This produced a variety of different looks for her College Senior Portrait Session. If you’ve followed along on our social media, then you know that we have photographed Madison several years now. We first photographed her as a freshman athlete at Washburn High School. We also photographed her for cheer, softball, and two proms. Now, we have “almost” come full circle after photographing her college senior portraits. Madison is a Class of 2025 graduate of Carson Newman University. Some of her college accolades and accomplishments are as follows: Madison is a 1st generation college graduate. She graduated with a 4.0 gpa and was the recipient of the CNU President Academic Excellence Award, as well as, a Bonner scholar. Madison is a licensed SLPA and Special Education teacher who has achieved 2,500+ nonprofit volunteer service hours. The Experience It’s always a privilege to photograph the 12U Team Tennessee Softball athletes. These girls bring such great energy and spirit, especially on media day—they always show up ready to shine. Capturing their personalities and team pride is one of the highlights of our job. They truly make our work easy with their enthusiasm and teamwork. The Vision This season, we met Team Tennessee Softball at Bridgeport Elementary School in Newport for their media day. For the setup, we were indoors which helped with the unpredictability of the weather during the Sping season. Nonetheless, these ladies brought their athletic talents in full force to be showcased in front of the camera. Their white uniforms with baby blue pinstripes and orange accents look sleek. Of course, we had to incorporate their team colors into the background with our lighting setup. WHS Senior Banners Behind the Scenes About the Session Lenz Photography is proud to present 22 Iconic Portraits ft. Washburn High School Pirates Softball, 2025! The Experience We’re back at it again with the Washburn Lady Pirates Softball team! Just like the WHS Basketball team in the fall, this Spring marks the 7th consecutive season that we’ve been lucky enough to photograph the Lady Pirates Softball team. These ladies are always a blast to work with, and we’re proud to showcase their talent. The Vision This season, the Washburn Lady Pirates Softball Team sported a black uniform with red pinstripes. Using their uniforms as inspiration, we created their Senior Banners in Photoshop from scratch. The inspiration for the banner graphic was a “little planet” theme, where each player appears larger than life in front of a large, softball stadium lit up at night. We incorporated the red pinstripes and the American Flag in the background to tie in with their uniforms. The theme, the uniforms, the text & logos, along with the lighting on the athletes really sold the effect. This session with Braden was perfect for us to collaborate with the goal of showcasing his talent through photographs. Here is a breakdown of Braden’s Martial Arts Accomplishments: When asked about his mixed martial arts journey, this is what Braden had to say: Doing martial arts has shaped my life. It has taught me to role with the punches and how not give up when things are difficult.
