Lenz Photography is proud to present 66 Iconic Senior Portraits of Mattox Smith, Maryville Christian School, Class of 2026!

Meet Mattox Smith, a multi-talented senior athlete whose dedication on and off the field makes him a standout in every way. A four-year starting player on the Maryville Christian School varsity baseball team, Mattox has not only competed at the high school level but also played competitive travel baseball during the summers, showcasing his skills at regional and state tournaments.

He was part of the historic 2023 MCS team that brought home the school’s first-ever NACA (National Association of Christian Athletes) national championship title. A versatile athlete, Mattox plays both catcher and outfield and was recently honored with MCS’ 2024–2025 Strength and Conditioning Student of the Year award.

Mattox also ran for the MCS cross-country team, where he earned the Most Valuable Runner award, and was named MCS’ male nominee for the 2024 Goteez Sports Page Blount County Awards.

Athletics isn’t the only place where Mattox shines. Mattox maintains strong academics, juggles two part-time jobs, and still finds time to serve others, volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank and helping elderly neighbors with yard maintenance.

In Fall 2024, he was proudly selected by his teacher to represent Maryville Christian School in the prestigious wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C. This honor reflected Mattox’s leadership, respect, and deep sense of responsibility, values that were clearly seen throughout the experience.

Patriotism runs deep in the Smith family. Mattox’s flag-themed senior photos are a tribute to his 17 family members who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including his father, who currently serves full-time with the Tennessee Air National Guard.

We’re so excited to see what Mattox accomplishes next, but for now—here’s to a senior year that’s a grand slam!
