We recently had the joy of photographing our friends Bryson and Laikin for a surprise engagement session at the breathtaking Pretty Place Chapel in South Carolina. We first met Bryson back when he was working the night shift at Planet Fitness, and it was so special to capture this milestone in his life. The chapel, perched high in the mountains, offered a stunning backdrop, and while there was quite a crowd gathered that day, we were able to work creatively to make it feel like they had the whole venue to themselves. The result? A set of portraits as intimate and unforgettable as the moment itself.

We asked Bryson to share a bit about how he and Laikin first met, and this was his response;

We met in high school at food city. I was infatuated with her and said she was going to be my wife before I even talked to her! We ended up being friends for 5 years while I was in college. Then, after we went on a beach trip we decided to take it to the next level. Now, we are engaged! I honestly believe the reason our relationship is so good is because we were friends before we dated. We got to know each other without any pressure. Some things we have most in common is that we are both gym rats and we love sports & the outdoors. We have been a couple for 1 year and 3 months.
